Header/supercharger question

Hey everyone...I'm new to this forum but I've been reading it for a while. Its been very helpful. I'm about to buy headers/exhaust but I'm not sure If I should go with the 2" or 1 7/8. I actually talked to Kooks and they recommended 1 7/8 even if I put a supercharger on the car which I plan on doing in about a year. Right now it will just have the usual...headers, CAI, throttle body, tune. I saw the jannety racing thread and 2" seems to provide more HP/torq. I understand that 2" is a little more expensive, heavier and you won't really see a benefit until about 6K rpm but what about a supercharged engine? Would 2" be a better balance now and in the future when I get a supercharger? Thanks in advance.

As you have noticed, the 2 inch header only has an advantage at the extreme upper end of the RPM range. It is really more appropriate for race applications. 1 7/8 will work well before and after adding the supercharger, however, with the Stainless Works line there is no additional cost for the 2 inch so.....

2" all the way!

I wish I could go back and get 2" instead of the 1 7/8 that i did get.
