Would it be included on the Ultimate factories 2009 season DVD set? It's on Amazon.com now if it is. Same season as the Z06 and BMW z4 are on??

Did you notice they were constantly talking about the "V6" engine in the program, but almost all of the cars they were showing were V8s? Also some of the motors were V8s when they called them V6. I wonder if GM did that for PR to promote the fuel economy of the V6?

It was a very interesting program though. I still have it on my DVR. I thought my nephew would enjoy seeing it next time he comes to visit.

Also the hood they showed coming out of the die was not a Camaro hood...

I noticed that. They followed a LT and a SS are different times, while referring to it as the same car.

The show was great, but I noticed were quite a few times during the show they were talking about the V6 engines and showing the V8, and little things like that.....obviously their editors don't have one and didn't have a Camaro NUT, like us, going over the footage to ensure it was 100% correct. Most people would have never noticed. small things like that.

Find someone that has a DVD Recorder that has that channel, and have them make a DVD for you.

View Camaro Factory on Ultimate Factories reminder

Just wanted to remind Those who Have not seen ( Like Myself) or maybe want to view again, The Oshawa Camaro Factory will be on a rerun of Ultimate Factories on the National Geographic Channel January 7, 4pm Central Time.

Set Your DVR's etc. I hear it is a great View !

I have included both the link to National Geographics TV schedule as well as some very interesting Facts as shown on the facts tab of the same link.

Enjoy ! http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/tv-schedule

Check out the fact tab. Interesting info....

CAMARO FACTS (as shown on National Geograhic)

After an 18-hour assembly per car, a new Camaro rolls off the assembly line almost every minute! Go behind the scenes with us and discover what really goes into designing a 2010 Camaro.

There are 734 robots doing the nearly 5,000 spot welds needed to create the body shell for each Camaro Coupe.

The Camaro’s outer body side panel is transformed through the strikes by four die sets, with the initial forming press generating nearly 1,400 tons of force at a speed of seven body sides per minute.

The Oshawa Car Paint Shop is a new, 1.3-million-square-foot facility.

This new paint shop was built in 2007 and is capable of delivering 150 painted vehicles per hour.

In order to get to the paint shop the Camaro body has to be transported on a bridge over a city street where it is painted and then shipped back across the bridge to the trim area for final detailing.

After eight hours in the body shop and five more hours in the paint shop, the Camaro body shell makes its way across a two-level bridge to the general assembly area.

It takes approximately 18 hours to build a Camaro.

One Camaro rolls off the assembly line approximately every minute.

This new paint shop was built in 2007 and is capable of delivering 150 painted vehicles per hour.

The Oshawa GM plant also produces the Impala in the same factory facility.

The total plant size is 8.57 million square feet.

It took a $740-million-dollar investment to convert the Oshawa Car plant into a state of the art flexible manufacturing facility, producing the Chevrolet Camaro as its first product.

The Oshawa GM plant first opened in 1953.

Currently there are 3,743 employees in the plant (3,415 hourly pay and 328 salary.)

The Camaro engine is produced at a different plant and has to be shipped approximately 2 hours to the assembly line where it finally meets the Camaro.
