I messed up.. OVERSPRAY!

So I was using the "Tint Paint" from Ace Hardware to paint the lights on the side of the camaro, I was careful to put a lot of masking tape all around it to make sure it didnt get anywhere, but somehow it managed to get a little bit above the rear right light. its hard to notice, I only noticed it after I washed the car and saw it in the light, it looks like its just a bit of dust, but you can feel it as well.

The good news is, its on a black car.. so its not at all obvious, but its going to bug the crap out of me.

How can I fix this? Like I said, its not a HUGE defined paint spot, its just a very light tint paint overspray... Gotta be something I can do to fix this.

I feel like a dumbass :( I put down a ton of masking tape, idk how it got on.... Lesson learned

Any help appreciated

Clay that area of the car - it will come off. This is spoken from someone who has done the same thing!

Another option is using Meguiars Ultimate Compound. That works well.

Clay bar should do the job. If not, any body shop can remove it by buffing.....they have several different compounds from mild to aggressive that will do the trick.

No, it won't hurt. Just spray the area with a good detail spray and then go over it with the clay. Keep the surface wet. After doing the area, fold the clay bar over a couple of times to get a clean surface.

Good luck!

Heres the before and after of the spray

I realize the lights are off on the 2nd one after its tinted, but it works great, you're just going to have to take my word for it...

Just make sure to do light light coats..

.. and do it INSIDE the garage, where theres no wind to pick it up

As others have stated... use the clay bar and if its minor it should come off.
