The officer may have clocked you doing 90 in a 70.. decided to be a nice guy to write you at 85, as some states consider 20mph over the limit as "reckless driving".

Which, carries a lot more fines and other nasties than just doing 15mph over.

I think I'm a pretty good driver I'm 20 and in 3 years of driving this is the first time I have every gotten pulled over for anything. My fine was 118 with defensive driving

Who doesn't go 90 occasionally. My Mothers damn dodge diesel pickup refuses to go any slower. I swear that is like 1/4 pedal.

True... very easy to do..

And I'm sure more than a few people can attest to how stable the camaro feels at 125+ .

But, officers tend to get a little testy the closer you get to 100+.

It feels good going over 90.

Bingo. The first ticket I ever got I was going 70 in an unoccupied constuction zone on an ealry morning. The trooper picked me and my Tacoma out of a line of cars and gave me a ticket for 69 in a 55. I was cruising at about 71-72 and he put 69 in a 55 so I would avoid the harsher penalty of that 1mph higher.

Show up in court and the judge will give you a list of traffic schools to choose from.
I think you can even take them online.
