Just don't care for the way superchargers sound at all. I think the kb one would make me not want to drive fast. Superchargers are fun but the sound not so much.

Techco and K/B sound Awesome.

Almost makes me prefer that over the turbo spool.

Any particular reason?

The reason Im asking is because Im having a hard time choosing one.
I like the stock look of the magnacharger; I WOULD think that they have more knowledge tunning GM cars (read ZR1).

But still interested in what Techco, Whipple, KB and Vortech are going to offer.

maggie's are reliable and the new tvs hybrids are very efficient. not made for alot of boost but it comes on pretty suddenly which makes for excellent throttle response, but can sometimes fall off uptop (old roots style, not sure if the new ones do or not). Whipple, techco, and KB all use a screw design that actually compresses the air in the supercharger itself. They are made for high boost application, but are not as forgiving if you overspin the blower, unlike maggies which can be overspun with only a drawback of heat. I do not know much about techco, but seems like they are doing pretty good work. I have always preffered whipple of kb due to the size of the blower. Generally, a larger blower doesn't have to spin as fast to make the same boost as a smaller blower. Less a blower spins the less heat it creates which helps you maintain more topend. The drawback of larger blowers is the power needed to turn them. But imo if your looking for alot of boost with the instantaneous response of a blower the lil more needed to turn the s/c really isn't going to matter in the end. It all comes down to personal preference though.

The Procharger sounded like thier was something loose (rattling) inside, did'nt like it. That Cobra w/KB was loud and sounded WILD!! I liked the Vortec, it was mild and smooth yet you can hear when you stomp on it. The Tech was o.k. a little too loud. The Maggie was was very quite, though it was hard to hear over the Dyno. Thanks for the vids that was cool.
