It is soft plastic with just a few 1/2 inch clips around the edges holding it in. Put some masking tape (for paint protection) around an edge and get a tiny straight slot screwdriver and carefully pry out on the plastic trim. If you can't get in on the edge try prying out from the inside slots. Be careful and go slow it does come out easily. PM me if you have any questions.

No prob.... If you are installing a billet insert... the insert fits better without the OE plastic trim installed.

I Just popped it off, it was actually not that hard. I'm putting the extended rally stripes, and needed that out of my way. I may keep this plastic piece off and look for a billet replacement, do you have any sugestions?
BTW your stripes are awesome! I'm doing the same style just gloss black. Thanks agian for the help!

Thanks for the kind words about our stripes. We are actually working on a stencil kit for the style of stripes that we do. If you need some stencils PM me for pricing and availability. Go here for the install pics:http://www.flickr.com/photos/cccstl/...7623109265690/

I know this is off topic, but with the SLP facia filler, is their a body filler available that could be used to fill that gap.. I know the nose is going to flex differently than the facia piece, I have concerns of it cracking or even popping out.. Is it possible? |

I'm thinking about removing my mail slot completely and give it more of a true ram air look, has anyone done this? Also, will it let too much water and debris inside the engine compartment?

Perhaps some kind of grill to keep the big stuff out. I would think it would help keep the engine cooler??
