I've been waiting as patiently as possable for news of 2011 changes. The HUD was my #1 hope. I had a 2010 I had to sell. Only one thing bothered me on the 2010. My view of the speedo was blocked because I liked my steering wheel a low as possable when I drove. Having HUD would solve that problem. I'm HAPPY! Bring on the 2011. I'm back in a position to buy and I may be placing my order as soon as new pricing is realeased. Woo Hoo!! I'm now waiting on the official press relaease and what additional changes are coming...

I think the Camaros problem will be the same as the Mustangs. Until they bump up the HP on the base vette, they can only go so far with the SS before it starts stealing sales. The GT has the same problem with the GT500. They are not really going to be able to add alot more horsepower before it gets too close to the 550 of the GT500. The Mustang was lucky this year because there was a big HP gap between the GT and the GT500.
Just my opinion. |

I am hearing a rumor that this hp number might be in part do to rating the V6 Camaro for 91 octane over having it rated for 87 octane.
Pure speculation at this point though. So take that with a grain of salt. |

There still could be plenty of things we are not being told. For example from 98-02 there were a lot of little changes made here and there that were never advertised...i.e. different cams/exhaust manifolds/ intake manifolds/injectors/differnt heads/different block (for a few cars.) throttle body differences/ pcm changes/ egr removal.....just to name a few.
Being said from 98-02 there were 0 gear options for the fbody for manuals. The auto had 1 gear option. A 3.23. Now there could very well be changes to the motor that we will never know about until people start tearing the motors down. So yes hp could go up based off of new parts (without gm advertising it) or they could swap out two parts make the motor more efficient then de-tune it to make the same hp. Point being since they didnt say anything we will never know until it comes out and we tear them down. |

That's why patience is a virtue; you either have the willpower to wait it out and see...or you get what you want the exact moment you want it and don't look back. There will always be a new, better, upgraded version of whatever is on the market at the time. It's the same thing that happened when everyone rushed out to be the first to own an iPhone and then they came out with the new iPhone a year later that was twice as good for a lot less money. You kind of have to expect it, really.
