So really if you were interesting in a 2015 1LE Camaro then the 2016 car would be a cheaper choice, however if you were not interested in the 1LE feature then you might not like it.
Is the 2016 1SS in base trim really faster than a 2015 1SS w/1LE package? Who stated that?

Al O. did at the Fest. I'll believe it when I see it.

The slight price increase does not bother me so much as the fact that YOU CANT GET RECARO OR LEATHER SEATS in a 1ss. My ONLY gripe. Come on man. Offer a package or something. Pleaseeeee Chevy!!!! :(

No official weight #'s on the 6th Gen yet.......

I bet it closer to 250lbs difference....if that.... on a fully loaded 2SS with Mag Ride and additional coolers as listed in this topic.

Plus, a sizable percentage of Camaros (SS's in particular) aren't driven in the winter, either due to people not wanting to drive something with RWD in the snow or simply because they want to protect their car from road salt. Either way, it makes less sense to have heated seats (and steering wheels) in Camaros than it does in, say an Impala.
OK, I'm and oddball! I love my heated Recaro's for my DD. The other day my back was hurting, so I hit the heat button and just sat in my car for about 20 minutes with the a/c on. Total Bliss... I even used them in the winter time, this car takes it time to warm up...Total Bliss

No way. 2SS is $42,295 with destination (I'm assuming that's what DFC is). Dual mode exhaust is $895. Magnetic ride is $1,695. That's a grand total of $44,885. 2016 C7 1LT with no options starts at $56,395. Over $11,000 more, and you're getting a lot more with the Camaro.

I'm not planning on cross shopping the 2SS unless it's over the 45K mark with MRC and Exhaust options.
What I am expecting is the significant weight loss that should make the 6 gen brake package good without paying for the 6 piston Brembos. Paying more then a GT makes sense to me as the Camaro is a definite upgrade comparing the two cars.

Hit up Katzkin, the dealer you order the car from will likely be able to get them (after Nov. or when available).

All these comments about the pricing. This is the pricing just starting out maybe later in the years the price may go down or if GM are not selling enough that they will have a huge fire sale with discounted prices. So don't beat yourself up on the pricing just yet, as the cost of parts and tech go up you know well that the price of these cars will just keep on going up. What's the famous term on these forums "you pay to play". After seeing these cars in person and talking to the reps, you are getting your moneys worth. Now the real question lies is will the numbers they have out, hold up to the test.

Atleast i know if i do plan on getting one it will be used. When no one buys them because pricing is too high and gm starts adding incentives and the used cars drop like a rock, i will consider adding one.
