Hit a deer today. (post #6 input)
Actually more like it hit me. But the point is the estimate is just under $2300. Kind of mad because the bumper is still in excellent shape but as you can see in the third picture the clip that helps attach it to the fender is broken. And he recommends replacing the front bumper as well. The price he quoted me on a new 2LT RS bumper is $485, does that sound about right? Then the labor to paint it is $$$. Oh well guess ill use my $500 deductible, and it should not reflect negatively on me seeing as it was an act of nature and not my fault.

I've sold in Insurance my whole life so I can suggest a few things that might help.
All the body shops I send my customers to work out the deductible or "wave" it like 2013 Orange mentioned. Its Illegal for Insurance to force you to go to a any shop, with that being said you can contact other shops that will more than likley "wave" your deductible. The picture below is to give you a idea of what some body shops offer.

So does everyone agree with the body shop that since I will be having to use insurance for the fender that the front bumper should be replaced as well because of the broken tabs. He is afraid it wont hold on well broken like they are.

That doesn't look too bad for a deer hit. Definitely could've been worse. Glad it wasn't though... And RIP deer.

I would replace the bumper because of the broken clip.
