Newbie at ths...preping used body kit parts
ok so im getting a GM rear GFX kit that is CGM and a GM front splitter that is black. But my car is SW. so I want to prep the parts before i take them to the paint shop, for a cheaper estimate. what is needed and how to do this?

How can you be sure you'll save any money?
And they are seperate from the car already so prep should be minimal. |

Prep is one of, if not, THE most important step for shooting paint. Especially, if you're going over another color.
No quality painter is going to trust your prep work, or take responsibility if it begins to bubble or flake. The coin you save is going to be on the finish side by being done (hopefully) right the first time and only once!

I would. If something goes wrong with the paint, the painter can't say it was due to poor prep work! Covers you my friend!
