I know this is in the V8 forum and it is installed in a V* but is there any reason why this wouldn't work on a V6???

Yeah I would go with K&N too cuz if you add this Polished Intake under your hood it will probly be the only polished part under the hood , K&N is mostly black and still looks nice w/out stealing all the attention from your engine..

And the K&N wouldn't look like it was assembled with Spectre parts from the rice isle at Pep Boys.

wow! A hot air intake system. You really should'nt use a filter like that on a vehicle that has a newer style MAF sensor. I am working with Volant on a COLD AIR BOX with a dry PowerCore filter. I'm sure you saw a gain in power, but when the hood is shut your inbound air temps are going to force the ecm to pull spark! I'm sure you will see at least 6-10 deg. of spark retard when it is hot and the hood is shut. Just remember that for every 1 degree of spark is about 6Hp. A closed air box is always best with better flow to the outside air. This is why GM spends losts of time testing. Please don't take this to be negative.

You can't use a oiled element on a newer MAF period!!!
