Supercharger + Automatic Transmission + Displacement on Demand?

Hi Everyone.
I'm 2010 Camaro SS owner.
I got mine with Automatic transmission.

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I'm interested in adding a supercharger to my car but I'm worried about the DOD.

If the car deactivates 4 of the cylinders wouldn't the supercharger boost double and cause problems?

I know DOD can be disabled, but wondering if there is another way around the issue.

Any links to what I'm looking for or some info will be greatly appreciated.
-Alain

all you gotta do is read other threads.. there are a LOT of S/C'd cars on here.

Tuner in your area is hadadd motorsports I believe. They can TUNE the VVT out for you along with installing the S/C and other goodies.

I would guess that ALL supercharger/turbocharger tunes de-activate AFM. Keeping half of the intake valves de-activated closed like AFM does will cause a surge in MAP.

Why not have both?? DOD only works under cruising conditions but boost is not present so it shouldn't be effecting anything, right? One reason I want the A6 is that I can take advantage of the DOD/VVT that come equiped with these cars. But I heard that people deactivate them because after some exhaust work it sounds terrible when it switches modes.

Anyone blown that kept the DOD??

A quality shop that installs Kenne Bells told me that Active Fuel Management is maintained in the canned KB SC tune.

Re: aftermarket exhaust, Corsa did a perfect job tuning the sound in their L99 catback system. Zero drone like they advertise and no annoying sound whatsoever. They place two resonators after the cats to block out the annoying sound that DOD/VVT is supposed to make.

The Corsa catback for the LS3 doesn't come with the resonators because they don't have the VVT.

Just thought I'd share what I've learned so far.

I personally have turned the DOD off, and still maintained great fuel ecocnomy. Still at the 19-20 mpg range. I have learned a ton these last few months, and it will all benifit my customers. If the tune is right, the DOD wont be missed. Thanks Adam

We have installed and tuned well over 300 of these Auto/DOD Camaro's. The DOD feature is retained and works great. Personally I would not bypass the DOD, it is a nice feature.
