Halltech uses the K&N filter on our Yellow Jacket intakes. The best there is.

There is also K&Ns dyno sheets off of their website on an L99. They claim (and show on their dyno) around 18hp/18ft-lbs for both of their kits which I think is pretty optimistic. I would expect their intake to be, at best, where the RotoFab unit was according to Jannetty's testing.

I can assure you they are far behind the better CAI's. Although their design looks similar to the rest, they are vastly different.

My car made 340hp with just a Roto-Fab cai and tune. Another L99 on the same dyno, made 333hp with a K&N cai and tune. I don't know the baseline of the K&N car, but mine was 330 with a tune. Hope this helps.

Should of done your homework. They are that cheap for a reason. They are of decent quality, just not the best in terms of airflow.

Butt dyno's are not calibrated very well. The added noise can give you the feeling of more HP than you actually gained. A louder exhaust can do the same thing. I'm sure it gains HP, but there are much better ones out there and for a not much more $$. If you research what makes a GREAT CAI, then apply that to any CAI, you will see where it either does well or doesn't.
