Easy... Chevrolet was a HUGE sponsor. If Ford would have "ponied" up the cash, they would have given him a Mustang.

It's a shame that you only get a camaro for winning the superbowl. I would think a CTS-V or a ZR1 would be more in order. But then again, maybe they thought he already had those cars and wanted to give him a beater to tool around in.

I was thinking it was more along the lines of the 'vert being brand new, and as far as I know, not available to the public yet. It was to advertise and build hype for the new vert.

Its not about the player, its about the fans.

How many football fans would buy a 60-70 grand for a luxury sports sedan, or a 110k high performance sports car? Now, how many would be interested in a 30-40k topless Camaro?
