Royal Purple Transmission and Rear Differential Fluids

Is Royal Purple 75W90 SynchroMax the best product from the Royal Purple product line to use for the Transmission and Rear Differential fluids on a 2010 SS Manual LS3?

Rear end yes, manual tranny no. You want Max ATF for the Tranny.

It's all good. Dex III is what is supposed to be used in the Tremec though.

The owners manual says GM part # 88861800 is the fluid for the manual transmissions. That part number is the direct replacement for Dex3. The Dex3 name is no longer a licensed GM name and is no longer regulated by GM. It has been that way since the end of 2006.

I'm not a shellback. I was a TAR/FTS my whole career. I did a five month Med cruise on the Roosevelt in 03. The farthest south we made it was Puerto Rico for work ups. Our Hornet squadron (VFA-201) got activated and we recalled all of our reservists.

having grind from 1-2 with Hurst short throw. Replacing fluid with RP this week to HOPEFULLY fix the problem. Several users on here have said that it has really helped out. I'm holding my breath

Me too, please post the results. Maybe doing that real soon too. I can't help but wonder if someone on a test drive, forced a 2nd throw when the 1-4 shift came on. I installed the skipshift already.

I was going to change to RP in the tranny and the diff.
Does anyone know how much I need to change out the fluids in a M6 2SS?

4 qts of Synchromax, and 1 qt of Max Gear 75w90.

If you get a little hand gear lube pump from the auto parts store, that make it easier to fill the trans.
