What's wrong with my Roto-Fab install.

Had my Roto-Fab CAI installed and in looking at the photos it appears something is wrong. The breather assembly has a lot of tension. I have attached photos. I am thinking the elbow may be in backwards or needs to be turned so the fitting that the breather assembly attaches to is towards the bottom of the elbow. Any help is appreciated.

The fitting goes on the bottom, but also looks like you have the wrong end inserted towards the intake, flip it towards the filter and should be good as new, here is a pic of mine installed.

Yes it is installed wrong, did they give you the directions? The fitting to the clean air PVC goes on the bottom. Flip the elbow end for end like the first post.
Who ever installed did not go by the instructions.

I did the exact same thing, came on this forum asking and people quickly pointed out that I needed to flip the tube next to the snout 180 as to let that breather assembly come from the bottem. You will also get a better fit, less snug as that tube is actually 1/4 inch smaller on one end.

Mine is like pic 3 though, even with adjusting things in several areas, my windshield washer jug slightly touches my filter. I heard you can move the jug a tad but it looks like a bear to get to its mounting bolts.

Flip that tube closest to your engine and you are good to go.

I really studied the pics in the guide and noticed that one end was larger than the other when I got to this step. There's more to this install than I expected, but RotoFab did a great job with the instructions.

My filter touches the tank a bit, but it does not bother anything. I just left it.

Thank you everyone for the help and photos. I think I have it correct now. Here is a photo. My one question is, isn't that breather canister awful close to the belt/pulley? Did anyone do anything to make sure it doesn't rub.

I just rotated the elbow CW a bit and then it will not touch, or shorten the rubber hose to the clean air PCV Inlet. It is now correct, looks good. Can't see belt clearance. Shorten the small 1/2 hose to the little can may work best. The one coming from the bottom of the big elbow.

It is only a few millimeters of clearance.

Shorten that small hose. It does look long.

You might be able to get some additional clearance by rotating the elbow screwed into the intake tube slightly.

Yes, that's even easier.
