Anyone using this intake? Any feedback?

Lol, I like how the article makes it seem like just the intake added all that HP.

I bet you'd get very similar results just flashing the car.

it looks pretty much the same design as any other Intake such as the Rotofab that's quite popular here.
normally a intake by itself will add 20-25hp without a tune. that's perfect for the people that don't want to jeopardize their warranty.
Add a tune to that like they did in the article, and you'll pick up several more hp I'm sure, thus accounting for the gains they reported in the article.

I am coming from a GT500 and JLT is the intake of choice for that world. It seems like the CAI is different in a few ways, the tube is 4.5", MAF opening of 123mm. I think they are pointing to the no tune CAI intakes (Roto-Fab CAI) as to small to keep within the MAF 97mm size for a boosted engine.

Here is more info from their site:
http://jlttruecoldair.com/ZenCart/in...ndex&cPath=442

Not sure how it compares, but the JLT for the newer GT500s, 11-14 years are 127mm and that is using a stock 67mm throttle body compared to a ZL1 87mm TB. I guess my question, is this overkill on a stock motor or a motor boosting 13lbs and under? $299 is a killer price point as well.

I tested the inatke for JLT and it lost power compared to my Roto-Fab. Made 649rwhp with my roto-fab and 638rwhp with the JLT. They were trying to claim 33rwhp over my already great intake so I tried it out and was very disappointed.

Thanks for the info. When you added it, did Howard (Redline) make any changes to the tune? I am assuming if you dynoed the intake it was at his shop.

I had jlt's on my cobra's and liked them, but I'm sure they are comparable with any of the other cai's on the market for these cars. They all offer about the same return

Yes he did he said he chnaged the tune 40%... He wasn't suprised it didn't make the 30+rwhp they were claiming but he atleast expected it to pick up somthing.. Yup did everything at Redline.

Looks like a cheap Roto-Fab knock off
