QTP Cutout Ground Clearance?

I just got my QTP cutouts today and stopped by the muffler shop to have them installed. There was no way to install them without sacrificing ground clearance. The right side was particularly bad, leaving just 3.5" of clearance. Since they mount mid-car and have a large rectangular lip on them, the shop and I felt that it was not worth the risk. If one of the lips caught on a pot hole, RR track, etc... It would not be good news.

Does anyone have an installation method that doesn't sacrifice so much ground clearance?

here's mine. I have had them on for almost 5-6 months now and have had no issues at all. Not even going over speed bumps. The Chevy dealer that I bought the car from installed them for me.

They are both almost even with the frame rails, the right one does hang alittle lower though for some reason.

My care was the test mule for these cutouts. Not one issue at all. Love them, love them love them.

That's because there are two fuel lines and two brake lines outboard of the right exhaust.

Would one of you mind posting a side profile picture?

I have had mine installed for about a month and have had no issues with them at all. I am so glad I bought these instead of getting a Borla or Loud Mouth permanent installed exhaust system. Just something as simple as going through a fast food drive through I can simply close the cutouts and I have no problem hearing.

Mine looks the same as Chad's and I have gone over speed bumps, RR tracks, etc with no problems.

I was concerned if I was making the right decision on the QTP's but I am so glad I bought them. You are going to love them. I think I like the sound with mine @ 50% open more than I do when they are wide open. I am curious what you other guys think sounds best; full open, 50% open, ? open.

I just got the toggle switch, because I didn't want to deal with the remote. I might have to get the remote, because even QTP's dyno shows the car has no bottom end power with them installed.

I also printed out the pictures from QTP's website to take with me next time.

I have these on my car and mine do not sit any lower than the frame rail. I LOVE them. You need a new exhaust shop

Jeepguy-

Can you explain what you mean by this? Do you mean no increase in power? What is "bottom end power"? Or do you actually mean there is a decrease in power?

"QTP's dyno shows the car has no bottom end power with them installed."
