Close call at the track tonight (pics) of aftermath

First pass of the night I lined up against a Z06 I was in the right lane. I had him by half a car at about half track. (he was at my door) Then all hell broke lose out of the corner of my eye he darted left then in my rear view came back across the track with in a foot of my back bumper hitting the wall hard. His car went up on top of the K-wall and rolled up on to the passenger side,in my rear view all I could see was the bottom of the car.It slid on top of the K-wall like that for 100+ feet no BS then came back down on its wheels and hit the left wall. Once he got checked out by the EMT's I told him I was driving the Camaro his response was "Did I hit you" he thought for sure he did.

You can see where he hit the wall,he came back on to the track where the blue tractor is in the right lane.

I am so lucky I was out front,if I was a tenth slower he would have taken me out.

Doesn't look like it slid on it's top, the windshield isn't even damaged...that's besides the point anyway...glad everyone made it out alive!

Bet you tried pushing the gas pedal through the front bumper when you saw him coming at you!

Ok, stupid "girl" question - first, glad the human occupants were unharmed (mostly)..

Does insurance cover something like this?

OMG; Good thing nobody got hurt. I feel sorry for the vette owner though. Vehicle looks trashed, and I doubt it if insurance will cover drag "racing" incidents.

At least if doing road course you can claim you were taking advance driver lessons. I doubt it you can do that when drag racing.
