Headers Question???
When all of you who have put headers on your 2010 Camaros, are you eliminating the cats, or going with high flow cats or keeping the stock cats, and could you tell me how much it costs to have the headers put on, I want to get an exhaust sytem on mine, I'm still not sure which system I want, I definitely want a loud exhaust system.

I have similar questions. When I bougth my car I upgraded the exhaust to most costly option supposedly produced by Borla. Now I am finding that I have to replace entire system for long tube headers. Just seems a little crazy that no one has come up with options for headers, seems like a great market.

This is the same exhaust system I have on my car. I have not heard anything louder than this except for the noweed cutouts but there not running through the mufflers. It sounds awesome inside and outside the car. Its not too loud in the car and there is no drone either. If you are going to modify the motor i.e. cam, nitrous, ect. then go with the 2" primary tube headers otherwise 1 7/8" will be fine. I have hi-flow cats on mine to stay legal. There is no power gain not running cats its just a little louder without them. The quality and craftmenship of Stainless Works is second to none and because they make the whole system from the headers to the polished tips it bolts up without any problems. Hope this helps.

I went with the ARH LT's with high flow cats and 3" piping and I paired it up with Borla S-type axle back. This setup it awesome It's not too loud driving easy driving but when you get on it gets loud real quick and turn heads.

There are several companies making headers that use high flow cats and bolt up to cat-back exhaust systems. I know that the Borla headers eliminate the cats. Kooks has them and ARH just released a set for use with cat-backs. I'm sure some other companies have them as well.

i went with the dynatech's l/t's and 3" in/out cats and magnaflows 3" comp system. magnaflow and or dynatech will soon offer a true 3" mid section to make it an easy bolt in. they did some of there exhaust prototyping work on my car and then we mocked up the mid section on my car as well last week so it is a true 3" system from the header collectors to the back. it's sounds great and is pretty loud when you bury your foot in it.
