Last night, I pulled off my nose. It has enough scratches on it I figured I would repaint it. Debated whether to replace it or upgrade to a zl1 or other but decided I'm happy with the SS look. Just need it to look good. So I pulled her off...

Only to find/be disappointed with rust developing on the bumper support bracket

So I proceeded to grind it all down with a cutting wheel to bare metal since it was bubbling, then sprayed self etching primer, sanded, and finally painted with some paint I had laying around which is almost a perfect match. Pic looks blotchy but that is only because I pulled it out and there is a bush casting a shadow to the left you can't see....

Now, onto my real project of restoring the nose.... to which after I may also jump on the xpel bandwagon and put a clear bra or maybe wrap the front clip....

It looks a little pissed about having it's nose removed! Good luck on your project! That xpel stuff seems amazing. albeit a bit expensive...

put on some taylor 409 wires, and a set of ngk TR6IX plugs. I'm not sure if the stock parts were bad or it really likes the new additions, but it idles and pulls way smoother now. ETA: found the problem one of the factory plugs had a broken off tip.

So Dante got some black out treatment today. Plastidip style.

Still have to do the RS badge (have not figured out how to remove it yet)

could be a little cleaner, but that will be next time I do it.

OK so do I do the tail light trim, remove the outer ring around the bow tie and RS to reveal the chrome, or leave it as is?

OK this is better.
