Not everyone can afford a beast with a LS9 in it..... so you make a in between model... a little more performance but not a monster price tag. If you have both you are going to appeal to a wider range of people. JMHO

ZL1 should have a LS10. Throw that whole slower than the vette thing out the window.

For the Z/28 I would like to see something along the original concept of making a car for the SCCA racing which limited a motor to 5000cc or 305 cubic inches. The original Z/28 was a 327 block with a 283 crank putting out 350 HP. Perhaps a supercharged V-6 putting out 450 HP ( a 100 more than the original ). As for the ZL1, not sure. I like the LSA engine. Supercharged..intercooled..no whine, enough beast to satisfy most. Enough drivability to satisfy most. And acceptable gas milage not to piss off Washington or your significant other to much. All do able with not a lot of tooling money on GM's part.
