NPP vs Borla Atak exhaust?

I am new to this forum and maybe people here hate Borla, however I am confused why everyone puts the NPP on their 1LE instead of saving that money and putting an aftermarket exhaust.

Is the NPP really that awesome, or is there something I am missing?

Please don't flame me as I am new.

I was thinking of ordering a 2014 without the NPP and getting a borla atak system.

NPP looks better, sounds better, you don't have to worry about fitment, and the idea of 2 exhausts in one is nice.

Also its $300 more.

I'm glad you asked, because I have the same question. My 1LE came without the NPP (I didn't order, so I got what was on the lot).

I'm sure it's been hashed through a million times, but I'm trying to decide which exhaust to order. I'm looking for medium-loud, with little to no drone, LOL. I'm not running headers, and if I do, they'll be shorties with CARB approval, if they exist. There are three levels of Borla, I'm wondering which one would fit that bill.

Borla. all day. NPP is a good system. but Borla is just mean.

it depends if you like exhaust or if you love exhaust.....
me personally..... the NPP isnt loud enough. i had SLP Loudmouth 1 in my 02 SLP SS. and if you dont know. that is bassically just a 3.5" expansion tube. no baffling at all. even louder than cutouts.

but if you like your exhaust but want a wow factor at times. check out Noweeds. i am in the process of saving the $ for them to hold me off untill i have the money to do a full exhaust system headers and all.

i believe the new borla and corsa systems retain the NPP function, i cant find any other reason they would be 600 bucks more than their other systems

no. make sure your looking at Cat-backs or Axle Backs. cat backs are usually about twice as much as the same axle back exhaust.
