When I did mine I started out with cutting out the mail slot only but in reality the opening is puny in comparison. The mail slot itself is about a 1/2 " x 12" opening mine uses two 3" hoses attached to my intake as well a 3.5" x 12" scoop to aid in radiator cooling. The 3" hoes can be used to provide under hood fresh air. I thought this to be much more beneficial.

As usuall, necessity dicated my working on my wheels. I needed another set of front tires so decided to mount them on the wheels I started ages ago. I haven't finished the lug covers yet but here are a few shots, one with a stock wheel and a couple of the smoothened out wheels.

Thanks. It was a bit of work, I'm hoping that the lug nut covers will make everthing blend in for a totally smooth look.

I had a chance to install one of my new Carbon Fiber Pistolgrip shifters in my car. I normally run one of my original shifters but this one looks real good and I may leave it in, time will tell. Here are a few pics of it.

Thanks. I don't have any other carbon fiber parts on my car but now that I have been working with it and have got a method of machining it there are a few more parts that I have made that I will be making out of carbon fiber to add to it and have a few ideas for some new stuff as well.

Had a rare chance to play with my car a bit. Here is my next project. I decided I didn't care for how the gauges were mounted. The dash and door panel have a nice contoured flow but the gauges are flat and tucked under the dash a bit so I decided to re-design the consol/gauges to flow better and compliment the interiors design. Here is a quick shot of the template I roughed out, I have almost finished writing the program minus the gauges, once I fit the panel I will decide on exact location. If I get a chance I will cut a test panel on my CNC later today. The prototype will be made out of aluminum, the finished product may stay aluminum but I haven't decided on that yet.

I will be mounting the gauges in. I had time to cut out the first trial piece, it does need a few minor changes but not a big deal.I started marking out the gauge location but may move them a little to allow for the possible addition of a couple of switches but I'll figure it out as I go. I am now thinking about making the final piece out of fiberglass or carbon fiber, this may allow me to mold it into the existing trim to make it all one piece but this also needs more thought. Here are a couple of more pics to give a better idea of where I'm going with it.

Thanks. I find it hard to find the time to work on my own stuff so give me a year or so and it will be done LOL.

So are the buttons on this for the tap shift?? That's awesome if it is! I've been thinking of a way to do that but haven't thought of anything.
