wonder how many more screws you have to remove if you have a GM front GFX.

I did not jack the car up or remove the wheels. It would make getting to the bolts more convenient but it is not mandatory.

I think the original grill is more aggressive looking.

Zero. When the GFX were installed, There should have been two holes cut out to allow for access to the bolts shown in step 3 in the instructions posted above

i like the way it looks .my should be in in a few weeks .but on my what i'm going to do is to order a ss emblem for a 69 camaro grill .ive notice that both grills slanted in the middle that should let it match up .on the ss emblem i'll be painting it red on the inside instead of white. i thank it will look good but if it don't i'll just take that emblem off .but it'll be cool to have the bigger ss on the front like the older ones.by the way my camaro is a black 2ss /rs 6m with the orange ss stripes .& yes i love it & the sound of the exhust in my gears puta a smile everytime who needs a radio

It would be great to see an unpainted black heritage grill on a black ss. I like this grill better than stock, it matches the air dam on the ss better.

IF YOU GET THIS GRILLE I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND PAINTING IT EVEN IF YOU WANT IT TO BE BLACK! THE SMOOTH PART IS BARE PLASTIC AND THE SUN WILL FADE IT TO AN UGLY GREYISH COLOR OVER TIME

for some reason textured plastic doesn't fade the same way though

At least put a clear sealant on it to protect the color from fading. i got my grille in today, and it looks great! i took it to the paint shop and they are only charging me 1 hour paint labor plus materials = total $75! that is cheap!

how do i know this you ask? i have installed a grille on another car and left the smooth black plastic as is... 3 months later it started to show signs of fading, i installed it about a year ago and it looks like sh!t now.

if you don't believe me, you'll be doing this every 6 months!

Vudu how did you get the ss emblem on, I can't figure it out. I got the chevy to stay on, that was easy.

3m Double face tape along the bottom half of the SS. I removed the emblem from the Black factory mount and cleaned it, reapplied the tape and adhered it to one of the bars on the grille.

I have purchased the heritage grille which I plan to install in the Spring. Is there anyone who sells the bowtie and ss emblems that are made for that grille?
