I ABSOLUTELY HATE skip shift

Skip Shift!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the dumbest thing I have ever
seen on a car.

In my peasized mind, I couldn't think of
anything less useful to put on this GEM
of an automobile.

Skip Shift

You just need a heavier foot. Might I suggest contacting someone with the lead weights on their Brembos and seeing if you can have them to put on your shoe...

Spend $30 and 15 minutes to install the eliminator and you'll never have to worry about it again.

Just think what it would have cost if you had to pay the guzzler tax - well worth the $30 and 15 minutes IMO!

My first "real" car? Ummmmm Nope. In 20 years I have driven at least 1 or 2 real cars.

Gas Guzzler tax? Yeah I'm glad we didn't have to pay that.

Heavier Foot?? That is the easy way. (really hard to stay OUT of it)

I was hoping to not have to do the eliminator, but I think I will.

Three choices:
1. Drive the car like it is meant to be driven and you'll never encounter it.
2. Do what GM openly acknowledges and tacitly recommends and invest $25 and a few minutes to install an eliminator
3. Pay a gas guzzler tax

Options 1 and 2 sound just fine for me. Option 3 does not. Be thankful GM came up with a solution that games the efficiency test, saving you money, and can be easily defeated.

Not only that it's more stress on the engine cause your forcing it to take higher load from the gearing. That's the whole purpose of the gearing in the first place.

Just google "Skip Shift Eliminator" - you'll have plenty of stuff to research.

I can tell you that I installed it on my vette - it was fairly easy, and I never had any problems with it.
