15-16 average in town but I have also worn out two sets of rear tires around town at 25K miles. And I am not break standing, just loving me car.

I'm right there with most of the others. I get around 15 in the city. Mine is a daily driver w/ quite a bit of traffic and I do get on it quite a bit.

If things go worse I might have to off load the car and as a consolation I was thinking of a gen 5. After all my first car was a 69 Camaro. However if the gas millage isn't better why bother. I've read that officially the SS gets around 18 mpg. I'd like to know what the daily drivers of the car are seeing. (I did do a search, but got to many hits with no direct answers) Also coming off of a TT Supra I imagine a LT would be to depressing, so I'm leaning more toward the SS.
If you're thinking your money situation might go downhill, then I think the only logical action would be to sell the Supra and buy something that's actually economical for your needs.

I'd be hesitant to call a 5G Camaro a 'consolation' prize. I don't know how built-up your Supra is, but the Camaro comes with 312hp in the stock V6. Or you get 426 in a manual SS. It's also a car that entertains all the modern features and conveniences of the 21st century. My recommendation would be to go with the RS package if you go V6 or SS, it's really what makes the car 'pop' from an appearance perspective.

My LS3 is averaging 18mpg on premium fuel (in the winter) right now. It also only has 461 miles, so I expect a slight bump in overall mileage once the engine fully loosens up and I get into a routine of driving it.

unless your different car is getting 60mpg, I don't see how the numbers will work out based on mpg's alone.

remember 2 years ago when everybody panicked when gas hit $4 per gallon? How long did it last?

Dude, I've seen that average meter go up to 28 MPG in my SS when I'm doing 55 in sixth gear. The more you baby her the better she does.

If you decide to sell your Supra, how much would you want for it?

I was installing some other things and want to make more power lol

I'm getting 18.5-19mpg in my LS3 in city , but I try to shift around 2k rpms from third gear on , its a little tough to do in the first two gears. I am getting 23ish on the interstate. All of this varies of course. It depends if my brain is in "fun" mode or "conservative" mode!

You want a cool and fast car then expect crappy mileage. I average 16.2 MPG in my 1SS at 31.6 MPH average speed. Fuel efficient cars are cheap, pick up one of each.

Enough to get a SS, but I think I'd need to do a proper test drive to see how they feel. Fortunately I'm signed up for the Main Street in Motion.

I'd love to, but right now I'm renting a room in someone's house. I don't think I could have two cars.
