My wife's 2014 RS convertible. Just finished the lambo doors and 5 stage paint correction system.

How hard were those doors to do? Did you do them yourself? I'd be afraid that I would wreck the paint or something, they are heavy!!!

I have waited a long time to see a Vert with Lambo doors.

Do you daily drive your car

I need to know how much of a pain they are all day long. Once and a while at a show is cool, but driving to work everyday may become tedious.

We are loving the doors with the lambo kit from Vertical Door. This is my wife's car so other than servicing it I don't really drive it. The doors still open and close normally as if there was no change as well. You do lose about 8-10" of your door fully opening from factory hinges, but its not an issue or a bother to us. Basically if you open your doors fully open with stock hinges and then from full open position, close the door 8-10" and that is how wide the lambo doors open. You do not have to open the lambo door hinges in upright position every time you get in and out, unless you want to. Doors will open and close normally still. There's a video from Vertical Doors that shows the functions of the doors once installed.

Thanks.. The door hinges themselves are not that difficult to install. Just takes some time because you are dealing with body parts and trying to be super carful to not damage anything. I did the doors myself with no help..lol. The doors themselves do not get taken off. The hardest part was just taking time and patience to make final adjustments once installed so everything is perfect. The most frustrating part is the fender screws located at the bottom of the fender behind the rocker panels. Other than that its pretty straight forward. I do suggest to put clear plastic light stick on film on all body panels to protect the parts during install.

My first post here. Have had my camaro since July of 16. Couple of evening shots. I love the black on black look.

Vaninash, Dieselmac-

Welcome to both. I thought Black was passé?

J/K

Had to start you off with a needle. I have yet to see an ugly 5th Gen convertible. Top down just makes this car. Lots of old pros here with advice on anything and hoping you
two can contribute some new ideas. A lot of us are in hibernation for winter, so may be a bit slow around here.

Congrats on your new/old stock. Amazing how Camaro owners take care of their cars, isn’t it?
