Yes, the all important 45 deg angle of attack...

What ever happened to the real car guys? They weld the exhaust in place so they don't have to worry about a little scrape here and there and they knew the -- exhaust, headers and cats are SELF CLEARANCING. As for front and side fascias they keep painted spares in the garage painted and ready to go. If they even contemplated racing they knew their car couldn't possibly be low enough if it didn't throw sparks when you hit the brakes let alone the little bumps in the gas station.

There is no whining or complaining if you own a Muscle Car

This is the end of this Public Service Announcement.
the 45* is in reference to not plowing the front end into any gradient more than 1* - not some pansy gas filing ports

ya know... for the guys who actually went that low

Why would Chris need a 45 degree approach angle when he drives THIS?

Hey, I bet you could sell those up north as High Performance 'snow removal' equipment. What a deal for local municipalities. What used to take a truck 3 hours can now be done with a THR Camaro in 45 minutes...

Chris...sick MRS. GTAHAVIT on DEB. That'll get Pete to FLY STRAIGHT...

He just cost you.. about $6-7K in spare, throw away parts (according to Pete's replacement swap policy, above).

Self clearanceing exhausts in the old days were 2 hundred bucks. Not on today's Camaro.. and you havn't even swapped the front end yet.

BAD BAD BAD!!!!

I remember flattening two of the primary pipes on a set of headers during a 'clearance' run. Back then, you went to a welding shop, they cut out the flat pieces and welded in new pipes. Heck on those Hooker Super Competition headers, the welding shop replaced that section with roll cage tubing. Never had them bend there again...

My '67 Camaro would jack the wheels in 2nd and 3rd gear 2feet off the ground.. sending sparks on landing from the exhaust. I had spare headers and swapped them like oil changes. No problem at around $100 a pair.

Those were the good old days...
