Where is the speed limit 85?

Never been pulled over. Came close once. Met a cop on a narrow mountain road to narrow for him to turn around on, so he just flashed the lights, put his arm out the window and pointed down.

I didn't even have my license plates yet back then.

I don't know, but that would be kind of unusual around here for a Sheriff to be that way.

I know why....He was either pissed because you were driving a brand new Camaro, and he's forced to patrol in a Charger that all the cops loathe, or he's a Ford fan! Yep, come to think of it, you're lucky you didn't get arrested!

i got a question for you officer!..do you consider this car a "target"?..OR do you just '"appreciate" the car for itself?kinda curious, because every cop everywhere
is "eyeballin'" me all the time!..gotta admit,it makes me kinda nervous,
especially because i'm ALWAYS checkin' my speed, and doing nothing wrong!

Well heres my thought.....no the car is not a "target" its a nice flashy car thats not seen around often so we look. But think of it this way...you say cops eyeball you and your car....its like you spoting a police car when your driving, you look at it and watch...and pray haha, everyone does....so i get eyeballed all the time also and i notice it...its the same concept

My police experiences are as follows...

1st Car (2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse purchased in 2006):
-warning for StreetGlow

2nd Car (2005 SRT-4 owned for 3years):
-warning for running stop sign (pouring rain and sign was on steep hill.. explained to cop that the car was 5spd and I wouldn't be able to get traction on the steep hill)
-warning for SteetGlow
-warning for excessive acceleration and barking 2nd gear (cop was curious as to what the hell was under the hood.. jaw bout hit the ground when I told him it was on 21lbs of boost)
-ticket for following too close (dropped in court)
-ticket for 76 in 55 ($150)

3rd 'vehicle' (2009 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R)
-stopped cuz cop couldn't read the temp tags (dark outside)
-stopped so cop could check VIN... a similar bike had been reported stolen locally
-warning for illegaly passing a car.. in the center turn lane. (then cop took off flying to go catch the car after I explained that the car brake checked me twice for no reason and the driver and passengers were laughing about it each time)

4th Car (another 2007 Eclipse)
(never pulled over)

5th Car (2010 LS3 SS)
-cop walked up to me at a gas station one time to ask how fast it was. told him it went 10.9 stock on 1000ft.. then his jaw dropped with I opened the door and he saw the N2O bottle sitting in the passenger seat (was on way to get it filled)
-have had many officers fly up on me, look at my tags, then back off.. (Had a friend, who is a local cop, explaine that he was told not to "mess with" or "give a hard time to" anyone that has National Guard license plates.)
-cop pulled into driveway behind me to ask my why I got on it so hard. I told him I had just gotten the exhaust done. He asked what gear I was in becuase he never heard me shift after the stop sign but clocked me at 53... Told him I never left first.. I was told to save my "fun" for the track cuz he knows I actually do some legal racing.

I got pulled over doing 100 in a 35 with 3 other people in the car. It was 1am and nobody was out (except the cop obviously) and they were curious about my car. It was a 98' Honda Accord with a 3L V6 and an STS turbo system running just 7psi. I power slid a corner and nearly sh*t my pants when I saw the cop drift it faster than I did. I was almost sure I was going to jail, mostly because I didn't have my license, nevermind the speeding and reckless turn I had made.

He came back to my door after checking out my registration and said "Don't let me catch you doing that again," and he left.....

No license, 65mph over, sliding through a corner, and no ticket. I count myself as pretty dang lucky.

With the Camaro, nothing yet but it's almost like I can feel them coming. I get the dead eye from almost every cop I have seen in town.

I know theres several stretches of interstate in the country where the speed limit is 85. I-15 Through Nevada until Las Vegas is the only one I can think of top of my head.

I love traveling that road when on the job, get to see alot of west coast exotics testing that limit or breaking it at stupid speeds. I roll down the window and listen for that long engine whine.

And hope they dont rearend my stupid speed limited truck at 60mph. ROAD HAZARD, ugh.
