Wouldn't a rinseless wash be both easier and safer?

I'm very confused

As I have stated before here and elsewhere ,using rinseless and single bucket is my preferred method. After watching some of the best in the business for a few years I have learned waterless and rinseless methods have taken their rightful place in the detailing industry. If Bugatti thinks that these methods are good enough for their seven figure rides then it works for me as they sat.

The only comment about the video is in the first step he only hand sprayed soap on the top trunk. He did not spray down the sides or rear.

As evidenced in the video, no harm was done to the paint.

That's what I was thinking the whole way through this video. This seems extremely convoluted.

I'll make it more simple for you, but this requires you to use a tiny bit of common sense. When washing a car, are you less likely to create any scratches if you wash the car using more water or less water, realizing that water is your main source of lubrication? If that doesn't "unconfuse" you then I really can't help you. What you saw me do and explain in that video (provided that you actually watched it), was NOT rocket science. It was nothing but simple logic and common sense.

I have been or parking lots with Ferrari's, Lambo's and other exotics, and the paint on those cars from people doing their wipe downs and rinseless washes has been jacked up as bad as some of the Camaro's I have fixed. So the benchmark of "Bugatti endorses it" kind of gives me a good chuckle. But hey, to each his own, I'm just offering an common sense alternative. If you end up throwing a nasty scratch in that car of yours that won't buff out, you may need my wet sanding video.

And I explained exactly WHY I only sprayed down the top of car in the video. That shows that you did not watch the entire video or you didn't pay attention.

A thinking man rises above the confusion. Some people are born just with logical thinking abilities.

Great video. I'm with the Junkman though. I'd find water somewhere rather than trying to wash my car like that. I just don't trust the waterless washes.

11:15 - trunk for demo purposes.
11:38 - half the hatch
12:20 - Rolling, rolling, rolling!
13:03 - soap sitting long enough. lubracation is key
15:47 - you can clearly see in the video how the soap has streaked down the rear quarter panel. its very well "lubracated".
17:22 - "I may as wellm just get this back end"
17:38 - Again you can clearly see that soap water has only dripped down.

First off, I've been a junkman fan for a long time and I am not trying to be an a-hole.

But I do not see why you would not spray soap on the rear and quarter panel. In the video at 15:47 and 17:22 you can clearly see that the soap as only dripped down the sides and the rear.

Pictures below you can clearly see that the read passenger side quarter panel has dry dirt sitting on the car where there is absolutely no lubracation.

Good video .. but very clearly the rear passenger side tail light area and rear passanger top rear quarter should have been sprayed with soap in the first step when Junkman only liberally sprayed the top rear passenger trunk area for demo purposes.

I didn't watch the video?

34:06 - I clearly explain WHY I did not spray the side and rear of the car down and wait for it to soak in. Obviously, you didn't watch the ENTIRE video or you wouldn't have wasted your time posting what you did to prove that you didn't watch the ENTIRE video.

Now, let's take a look at the damage that I did by NOT presoaking the rear and side panels, and the overall job at hand.

Ambient Light:

Halogen Light:

And my favorite test of all, the flash test:

So you watched the video, correct? Then how in the world did you miss that...

Remind me to tell Jose Fernandez of Superior Shine that you got a chuckle out of his waterless and rinseless methods. I think he chuckles all the way to the bank. These methods work and are gaining everyday in the industry. Some people will just be left behind.
