Only take car stats and magazine stats as a very general guideline. The 1998 Camaro still had an LS1 so it should be a bit faster than a 13.9.

Either way, there are too many factors out there, track prep, density altitude, driving ability, etc. If you drag race regularly then you ought to just compare your performance at that track with other cars at that track on the same day.

Then you get a good idea of what cars are really running relative to others.

Good point. That slipped my mind. I've watched HP tv when they are racing a 4th Gen up in the northern states. They might be running low 13's and I'm like ??? They have a professional racer in the car and he can only get low 13's??? And I'm running high 12's??? Dang, I must be good!:p Yeah, it's the altitude, humidity, density, etc...
