Huh, OK. I'll have to check it again. It is temp rigged until the replacement harness comes, but I'm pretty sure it is not in color. (I havent checked for night vision but not sure exactly what that looks like)

Finally had a chance to check it last night. It is in color, I just couldnt tell initially because nothing behind me at the time was particularly colorful.

Also, I noticed that as I backed into the garage the image changed as I transitioned from sunlight to garage. That might be the 'night vision' that was mentioned.

I'd like to thank you for keeping up with the stupidity of me on the phone I immediately went and got a soldering gun and put the harness back together the way it was supposed to be hahaha. Anyway here are those photo's!

Thought you might like this photo

I'll hopefully be installing my heritage grill this week, all depends on if it is done getting painted

Also Stings have you noticed the screwy design of our bumpers? It kinda looks stupid how the camera is off centre even though it is completely centred

Yeah, it is weird how they did not center the license plate lights under the bumper lip. It isnt too far off, maybe 1 cm, but enough you can tell if you are looking there.

I cannot seem to get my mirror screen to turn on. How does the camera know when the car is in reverse?

It is hooked up to a wire that is hot only when the car is in reverse and less than 12MPH. I may be a little off on the MPH.

What wire is that? I'm not understanding how the camera should be getting power. There is no wire mentioned in the DIY. It says to connect camera power wire to harness wire. Is the power coming from the mirror harness? If so, how does it know when it's in reverse? Please help

On Ofer's harness, there is a thin red wire that comes out next to the video plug. Where does this wire connect to? That is the only wire coming out. Should there be any others?

Connect the red wire on the mirror harness to the red wire on the long harness. On a 2ss that should be it. No splicing.
