Free $2k for mods
Long story short, I have a 1LE coming and I underestimated how much I would save. I filled out my loan papers and now have a check for $2k over the price of my car. I already expected the payment but I could save ~$40/month if I get a new check for the actual car price. But there is no fun in that! If you had a new 1LE coming and $2k, what would you buy?
My planned mod list goes as follows... Heritage grill Grill area blackout LTs Tuner (i have someone to tune via email) CAI ZL1 side skirts Possibly a ZL1 diffuser RX catch can Small subwoofer upgrade (nothing too crazy) That's about it. The really long term list is a Vortec SC and cam with supporting mods, but that is really long term. Thoughts?

Congrats on the purchase.
I will say, the rockers should have came with this car. The Dusk/ZL1/HW come with it, why not the 1LE. It was even on the Concept 1LE. I plan on getting the rockers sometime in the very near future. I'll be doing the tint, sub install and minor things first. |

Ha! I meant rear diffuser!
I am apprehensive about the LTs and tune right away because I would like to keep the warranty for a little while...

your ending up financing your mods over the length of your loan, this isn't normally a good idea, do the math and see what it really costs you. I don't understand how you can apply this money to mods either. loans checks are normally made out to the dealer as the lender will have a lien on your title

Premium LT's will set you back about 1500 and a good cai about 4 bills. Then you'll need a tune, which as you know will void your warranty, but I'm sure you're ok with that. you could go with some JBA headers - $700, ZL1 rockers - $310, Heritage Grill - $350, Rotofab cai - $350-450 and enough left over for a remote tune.

I'd go with exterior/interior mods then.

Make sure you buy gap insurance if your financing more than the Camaro is worth...just in case...
