Chime in... Shop wants $125.00 for 3 dyno runs.. Is that fair?

Hi

Local shop where I live wants $125.00 for three dyno runs.

That sounds fair to me since I see they have in ground dynos but I wanted to hear what you all paid and think. thx

Should I keep looking or is this fair?

I am putting the mace insulators on - both of them and getting some BBK headers and a tune from Vince.

I will be dynoing the spacers first and then a month later the tune and the headers.

I just want to see what my baseline is before I dig into the car.

http://www.reevesrpmperformance.com/ here is the link if anyone wants to see the dyno. They have two runs posted.

The shop I go to charges $75 for 2 pulls so it isn't too far off.

You may find an old 2 wheel dyno non eddy current loaded for $75, but most modern dynos are $100-$150 for 3 pulls.

You want the accuracy of a newer machine IMHO.

That is right around what we charge, sometimes less depending on the circumstances. So not a bad deal and not a great deal. Average I would say for a reputable dyno shop.

Might be referring to the insulator and plenum spacer

This thread belongs in the LLT forum, not the LFX forum.

But IMHO, that's hella expensive. We just had a dyno day - so admittedly it's a better deal - but we did two pulls for $50.
