SuperCharger setup

I am considering getting a Edelbrock supercharger,in stead of headers. I wnt to use borla atak exhaust with x-pipe along with TSP new Camshaft. Wld the camshaft interfere with the super charger and will tht put me over 500 hp mrk with a dyno tune?

I would think you would want headers/SC or headers/cam and not headers and cam....but im no expert. Depends on the cam as well.....you have an l99 or ls3?

w/ a SC, you should be able to get to 500 without doing a cam.

With s/c and cam you want to get headers too to get all the air you are getting in the motor out as well.

For sure man, its inhaling a hell of a lot more air so it definetly needs to exhale all that air it just burned. Headers will make a big difference and increase your torque curve. These LS motors love long tube headers!!! LG Motorsports headers are awesome for these cars!!!

Forget the cam and put LT headers on it.

On the LS3 we make 560-610 RWHP with our blower packages on all stock internals including the cam.

And they Drive So Nice.

Ted.

I have Kooks 1 7/8 long tubes with a full 3" Kooks exhaust and a cold air intake and I'm putting 405hp and 403tq to the ground with a tune from Sam at Fairway Chev in Vegas and the tune is very safe. Breathing is very important, with a cam and a blower with stock manifolds I would say you will easily get 500hp but with a cold air intake, headers and an exhaust without a cam you will get close to 600hp without boosting over 8 psi which it seems the ls3 can handle. I went the exhaust and intake route first waiting on funds for the s/c. Hope that helps you make your decision. And the Kooks setup isn't that loud until you get heavy on the pedal and then the tone is very loud, almost like going to straight pipes.

That is with the FACTORY cam.

With My Blower Cams we are seeing 700-750 RWHP.

do headers before a cam.

insert buying a supercharger anywhere you want..... but i would not put an aftermarket cam in a car with factory manifolds, unless it was a turbo setup.

why don't you call some local shops and find out instead of asking the same questions here? all shops have different prices.
