"Can you come in to discuss details"

So I got an email from my sales guy tonight:

"By the way since your order is coming up very soon, we need to schedule a time for you to come in and go over your order and other details regarding your purchase. When will be a good time?"

I'm very curious to know what this means. I ordered 10/15, IOM 2SS/RS, 6M, no sunroof, no hurst, no constraints. #7 out of alloted 11 for the year. I'm assuming he just wants to finalize my choices because on Tuesday of this week he told me that it should go in next week (1100-3000).

Or is this "detail" where he drops on me a suprise price? I'm not going to freaking sleep tonight!!! I didn't get MSRP in writing but the General Manager was telling me when I ordered that the Dodge Dealership down the road was selling Challengers for 10% over MSRP when they came in and that he would never, ever do that because the extra money they'd make wouldn't be worth the bad business it would cause. I hope his word is as strong as oak....

Needles to say, I'm going in first thing in the morning......

But sounds like my Camaro is coming!

DON'T LOOSE THE FAITH!!!! I know I almost did...a couple of times.....

It's probably to make sure you're qualified for financing...do a credit check, etc.

That's a good thing... He just wants to make dead sure they have it exactly as you want before it's locked in for good.

Bring him some donuts and ask for weekly updates...

Very good advice. While the salesmen himself might not have access to the order information, he can get the salesmen to get it for him from the guy/girl who does.

Give him your email address and tell him you'd llike to get event code status on Fridays.

I wouldn't be suprised if some dealers comeback and sell for over MSRP even on pre-orders that were order 7-8 months ago. This will happen at some dealers because there was never no signed Purchase Agreement offered by the dealer and not signed by the customer. That would really suck especialy if someone has been waiting for so long get thier car.
