I went with the Corbeaus and absolutely LOVE them. They are more comfortable than stock seats, very light and fully adjustable as well as giving me another 1-2" of head clearance so that when I am wearing my helmet there is plenty of room.

Did you use a custom bracket or use a pre-made one? I'd love to get another inch or so with a set of seats like that. Which model Corbeaus did you go with?

I want race seats & a roll cage so bad. But my kids ride in the back & them having to climb over it would suck.

I would never put kids anywhere close the roll bar. Think about it... the car wrecks, rolls or whatever, even if everyone has their seat belts on your head will still moves around and can easily hit the roll bar.
I may be wrong but i think there are some states where its illegal to drive with a roll cage on the road for this very reason.

It's not illegal in any state to my knowledge. There are some limited production cars that come from the factory with roll bars. Full cages, you may be correct. I do not let people in my back seat.... and if it wasn't such good sound insulation, I would just remove the back seat altogether...

I know one person that will let his kids ride in the back with a full cage... and they will be fully seatbelted in and have full face helmets while back there...

It's not a problem in Texas... but wearing a full five point harness is illegal... I suppose they feel this is too restrictive to outward view...

Race car drivers in close quarters competition wear them...

Jrpxxii, thanks for the info... I am looking forward to getting them and was looking at trying them with the brackets provided to see what kind of clearance they offered, and then consider making custom brackets... Looks like I may not have to...

Yes I used the adjustable slider bracket that comes as an option and it gives you the extra clearance without any modifications. I believe these are the A1 that recline and slide back and forth with the 5th hole cutout for harness. I special ordered them thru Corbeau and cant say how happy I am with them as they are super comfortable. I did order the wide option a well as Im not a real big guy but wanted the extra room and am glad I did as they fit like a glove

That's awesome. I was hoping there would be a bolt in seat and bracket that didn't require any custom fabbing. I just wish now that I hadn't gotten the sunroof. I have to slouch to fit with my helmet on.

I have a set of the Sparco Evo seats installed in my car with a custom bracket fabbed up by my shop Blu808.

In this photo you can see the bracket utilizes the factory mounting points so no drilling needs to be made to the car. The carpet doesn't even need to be pulled out.

Thanks for the reference Josh! We fabricated and installed brackets for Josh's Camaro. These are a direct replacement for the factory seats, and as he stated, there is no drilling required. The bracket we made also has all the harness points integrated for a 6-point harness system.

He decided to install Sparco Evo seats mainly for racing. If he does decide he wants to go back to stock seats, no problem! He just has to unscrew the two bolts and slide the original seats back into place.

As of right now Sparco offers mounting plates for the Camaro, but no brackets. These brackets are CNC cut and extremely durable.

PM or call us for more info!

With these brackets and the seats set on the lowest position there is an additional 3" of head room.
