L99 Removing Muffler

This may be a stupid question but I am no mechanic. I am debating on whether or not I want to go with cut outs or muffler delete. I currently have Stainless Works LT heads with Magnaflow 16483 3" Catback. Would it be a good idea to remove the mufflers which I believe slip off and drive it for about a week to get an idea if I want to go with a delete or cut off? Any side affects or issues? It is tuned.

Just curious what is the best option to go with. I see a lot of people with an x pipe and muffler delete just curious if I did that with the existing Catback if I would have any problems.

Thanks

Is personally put cutouts on it. That way you can be quiet when you need to be but wake the dead when you want to!

That's what I want to do because of the wife and others who ride with me. But I don't want to spend 400 and not like the sound. So would slipping my mufflers off the Catback for a week do the same effect is the question? So I can see if I like it.

What are you going to put in place of the muffler? Because you won't really get the same sound.

Cutouts go underneath the car, just after header at the bend of the mid pipes.

The mufflers need to be cut off... so if u dont like, you wou need them welded.

The magnaflow exhaust sounds great at WOT and cold start. Cruising its kinda low grumble but not what I am used to for a muscle car.

I have long tubes + cats, but I also had the stock mufflers cut off and had a set of Moroso Spiral Flow mufflers swapped in place:
