11019 Arrived Yesterday - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

#11019 came home late last night....and I mean late. We got home at 11:30pm. The dealer called at 3:00pm and told us to be there at 7:00pm. After I drove, my husband drove, and even the dealer drove, we had to do the paperwork. It wouldn't have taken so long, but the money guy put the numbers into the computer wrong and we had a $100 overcharge that took over an hour to find.

The white hood and hockey stripes will go on next week, as will the clear 3M bra. I'll post pics when that's all done. As soon as I'm able, I'll be ordering my personalized plates. The dealer messed up and mounted the front plate. We told him not to. Oh well, if that's the worst thing that happens to the car, I'll be happy. So, for now, introducing, # 11019. I'm thinking of naming her Rysa (pronounced Rye suh).

I should say, "Thanks to everyone in Oshawa for a fabulous car." I was jumping up and down because I was so excited. I swear my heart skipped a beat when I saw her. I agree with the awesomeness everyone else has already attested to and add mine. As the car was waiting for me at the dealer, several people offered to buy it and several more wanted to drive it. I've already received several thumbs ups and a lady crossing the street yelled, "Cool car!" I was in a store and watched several vehicles slow down to check out the Camaro. One car even drove in a circle around her. I have never had so much fun with a car before. Whoopie!

Congrats on the car!

Isn't it Maryland state law that license plates be on the front and rear of passenger vehicles?

I think all states require this with exception of:

Alabama
Arizona
Arkansas
Delaware
Florida
Georgia
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisiana
Michigan
New Mexico
North Carolina
Oklahoma
Pennsylvania
South Carolina
Tennessee
West Virginia

Then the U.S. territories:

Puerto Rico
U.S. Virgin Islands
Guam

(BTW - same thing about the front plate happened when we picked up our car after repeated emails and messages DO NOT ATTACH! But like you said, if that's the worst that happens, so be it).

Maryland requires it......but we asked for it not to be installed anyway. As I was driving yesterday, a man offered to trade his two small children for it. The beige actually is beige. Once the stripes are on, I'll take better pics and post them. Everything should be done by the end of next week. I forgot that we also opted to get the windows tinted. So next week will be striping, tinting, and clear bra. Once the MVA lets me, I'll switch the plates to Chesapeake Bay plates which are a light blue. At least the front plate has a mounting and isn't just screwed right into the bumper like I've seen on other cars.

Rysa got her stripes today. She will get her clear bra on Friday and the ground effects should be going on in July. So, here she is with her white hood, hockey stripes, and completely legal window tint.
