LT Header CEL

So i know this is probably a redundant question but i'm working on getting LT Headers and at the moment don't have the money for a tune if i had Hi-Flo Cats installed at the same time with the O2 sensors will i still get the CEL or is this just going to be something i'll need to tune out eventually.

You should always get a tune. With high flow cats the cel will still randomly pop up. First, you will be running extremely rich. This causes the car to smell like fuel, you can eat up your new high flow cats and plugs over time. Also, you will be leaving power on the table. Can you drive around a few months until you have the cash? For sure.

That's what happened to me when I got the Long tube headers & Hi flo Cats. Car was running to rich and I had CEL. Getting it tuned, got rid of CEL & got a big improvement on gas millage
