Air filter cleaning - What do you use?

What do you use to clean your air filter? I have a rotofab CAI and on past CAIs I've always used K&N but noticed rotofab recommends Precision II.

On my CAI I either use the K&N cleaner or Dawn soap (yes the one you wash your dishes with, works great to degrease) make sure you rinse a few times and set to dry. After a few hrs I then put the oil and let it dry again, then reinstall into car. good luck

I got a K&N precharger on mine and I just use a microfiber cloth to wipe it off. Have not had to clean the filter itself yet with almost 30K miles now.

Mine only has about 10k. Always was told to clean it after every other oil change and I'm coming up on mine next month.

For an aftermarket CAI, would run around $50. Most are reusable so never had to replace. Just get a recharge kit, clean and re-oil

Yeah but I have heard those filters don't work well after cleaning. Why not just replace once a year. Does anyone else do that? Or does cleaning work well with those filters?
