So I have been doing some research through here. Looking on youtube and similar set ups and came across a budget of $1500 that I'm looking to spend.

Here's the list.

Cold air intake. CAI. Rotofab. K&n.
headers. Can't do
Exhaust. Pretty dead set on mrt v2
Anything else?

Are the brands on here possible for the given amount?
Please give me some suggestions. Money is not really an issue thanks to my 60hr a week job but I think $1500 seems reasonable excluding shipping etc.
I've seen quite a bit of mrt v2 and MBA shorties that produce a pretty low rev which we all like.

Not 100% sure but I think headers are out of the question for the lfx. So you can put that portion if money towards Solo's HFC instead. That's what I'd do.

Doing research?........can't put headers on your car. Have you popped the hood yet, take a look @ where the manifolds should be then you'll know why. As far as intakes all are good, except k&n heard not so good things. If your getting an intake, you might as well pick up the vmax TB and put that in while its off. But I would say yes it's possible, drop the exhaust and get the TB, but that's just my opinion.

Yeah there aren't headers available for the lfx yet is there? Either way it's not an overnight job lol

Yeah, I think you might wanna do a bit more research. Since I think you probably won't, and such I'm being such a douche I will fill you in. Integrated manifold cnc'd into the engine block. Not only would it take u all night, it would be highly impossible. So you can now put that money towards a TB!

4) solo hi flow cats (will send you over $1500)
5) ported throttle body

So far my list is Catch Can, K&N, Throttle Body, SOLO High Flow Cats, and Magnaflow catback exhaust. Just a tad over the $1500 you mentioned, but not by much...

Other than that I have no clue, you've got to ask the other pros on the forum...

Exhaust manifold is integrated into the cylinder head, not the engine block.

The high flow cats added any horses? I really haven't looked into them or done any research. Just don't know what the hype is about, am I missing something? Been seeing them an a lot of wishlist's.

No that list is pretty legit. I completely spaced on the headers so HFCs sounds good istead

Haven't installed all of them yet, only have the can, and K&N on it. Loving it so far!

The throttle body, and high flow cats are on their way. The magnaflow will come once I save up a few more paychecks haha.

And that's just my performance list....

Keep an eye out on the various types of high flow cats, there are sales all the time, I think Stainless Works just started a good sale on the forum.

on the exhaust, I would not decide on it based on price, listen to sound clips, and go to a show or two and listen to it live on camaro's, heck if you see one at the gas station ask to hear thiers. not a car owner alive that can resist showing off their mods if asked about them, just wont happen

Another good place is a local shop that installs exhaust systems on the 5th gen's, just hang around a bit and listen, they wont turn you away as you might be a future customer.

choose the one you like the sound of, and if its a little more, save up and buy it later. You will not regret it if your getting the one that you like the sound of. you have a good chance of not being completely satisfied if you go by price or just what someone else told you sounded good

Everyone is different in what they like and nothing compares to hearing it in person.....me personally, the Stainless Works sounds the best, others haven't liked it as much for an example.

Take some time, listen to actual sound of the different types and choose that way.
