I know that was true with my C6 Corvette, LS3!

Its about the same as doing 130 in the V6, but a bit slower. Things happen real quick

Thanks, it was a blast. I ran about 270 while running in 5th at a sustained 157 MPH, coolant was around 210. The oil temp would drop a little after going back into 6th.

Yes, this true. The top sustained speed i could run in 6th was around 143 depending on terrain, as well, in 6th cruise control would only really hold 140, if i had a little terrain change it would drop.

Jenner and Mikel, it is every year in May ans Sept. It would be cool to get a few of us Camaro owners to steal the show :-))

A tire going would probably be the only thing I'd be worried about sustaining those speeds for extended periods of time.

What was your biggest worry, if any?
Sorry spec, missed this post. I was running the F1's, they are basically new. I bought them for COTA back in April, i also had an older set shipped out for the event, but because of the rain the tires i used for Silverstate were in perfect condition. I actually thought about your last sentence/question for a min, i didn't have a worry at all, other then getting a good time to win this thing.....which didn't happen
