Saddest Day of the Year

When she goes into hibernation. Tires up to 40psi on flatstoppers. Oil changed, stabilizer in, battery maintainer hooked up. Dustop cover on. Not positive they help but will put some dryer sheets inside and steel wool in the tailpipes to keep the mice out. Have four traps by the doors and have already caught a couple last month but none now for the last couple of weeks.

Yup, November 2 was my sad day, too.

Oil change, fresh gas with Sta-bil, wash and vac, battery tender, tires at 38 psi (will put more air in when temps drop), mouse poison traps all around garage.

Not sure why you put mouse traps inside engine bay, though. Mice cruise along walls and will find traps there first.

Winter Storage

A box of moth balls by each tire works well, also. I, also, park on a 12' x 12' plastic tarp besides my rubber tire mats to keep the moisture from coming up from the cement. I caught 21 mice last winter with traps. The new Decon is totally useless since they changed it.

I garage mine but take it out on dry days during winter, at least every couple weeks if possible. Leaving them sitting for extended periods causes seals to go out of round and start leaking. Neighbor has a G8 with no miles on it that sits...and leaks. Six months at a time? Time will tell I guess.

It's already snowing there?

It's helped me. One year I took my Monte out of hibernation and it was misfiring horribly. Turns out a rodent ate my injector wires for 1,3, and 6.

That's when I read about the dryer sheets, and since I have wrapped important wires up in the winter, I haven't had anymore issues.

Grew up in northern Illinois. Moved to Georgia in my late 20's. Best thing I ever did!

LOL meant put traps by my garage doors. Was not very clear there.

Good to know. I put dryer sheets inside and in the engine bay last year and had no problems.
