Tracks?
Hello,
Sorry if this is another post, i tried the search but I was having trouble isolating it to just Southern California. Is there a track, 1/4 and one with turns, that I could take my Camaro to within a reasonable driving distance? I know Irwindale has the 1/8th mile on Thursdays for $20 unlimited runs. I've done that before, but want something a little... longer. Any info on how to get started would be helpful. -May |

supposedly fontana should be back soon...
http://www.autoclubspeedway.com/Tick...b-Dragway.aspx I think willow springs has a 1000' (and road courses), beyond that there's something around bakersfield... If you want something longer, there's the mojave mile on April 12-13 (standing mile racing) Then there are shift sector: airstrip attack and no fly zone, both 1/2 mile roll racing. |

I wish Fontana would reopen, but I won't believe it until it happens. I think the closest drag strips are Vegas and Bakersfield? http://www.famosoraceway.com/

someone was telling me about pomona fairplex and supposedly for $15 they can go 'as fast as they want' but of course when i said 'take me with you next time' they make 100 excuses as to why they will not be going anytime soon.
I just moved from Hacienda Heights to Pomona off the 10 between the 15 and 57 so both Fontana and Fairplex are right down the street from me... Irwindale is so easy, a site dedicated right to it '$20 to race on thursdays, just show up, bring pants, $10 to watch' |

We host a track day series for pony cars, hitting most of the tracks Blake listed and a few he didn't, if you want to give road courses a try. It's great fun, but also very addictive.
