Camaro SS Headers and a Chip?

Hi Everyone,

Went to a local car show here in Mass yesterday, had a great time several other Gen 5 Camaro's. Since the show was divided into classes we were all together. The guy next to me was telling anyone that would listen that he had just had headers put on and a chip. I thought I read several times on this forum that there is no chip you can add to the new Camaro's only a tune. Can you add a chip to these cars? would be intersted to know for sure welcome all feedback

There are a lot of people who have no idea what they are talking about, even in regards to their own car. "Chips" do not exist anymore. He probably had a tune and just didn't know the proper terminology.

please do NOT buy that junk. You will be very disappointed. Go with a reputable company such as SCT.

Never considered buying it...lol...Just found it interesting that all you reputable tuner guys don't believe in them, or don't believe they exist...lol,
yet there it is on this web-site as a sponsor or whatever...Seems sort of weird this web-site would have you guys and "chip" sellers as sponsors...lol

Just sort of feel bad for you guys being helpful and truthful, yet the web-site allows these "chip" guys to peddle their "stuff" as well....

Totally agree. That can be confusing. The adds on the homepage are Google ads. You can place an ad there without being a sponsor and without being vetted by Camaro5.
