I've got a maroon 69 w/ a healthy 454, 9 inch rear, coated Hooker Competition headers, and a 3 inch Flowmaster exhaust. I also have a blue 69 w/ white stripes, 850 horse 509 (Brodix heads, titanium valves, 1250 dominator, 14:1 compression, Lunati stroker kit, coated Super Competition headers, 4" exhaust), 9 inch rear, 4:56 gears, TT-IIs, drag radials, and a legal license plate. Fun car.
And I don't talk to my wife about money and old cars. Last edited by Jamey; 05-18-2007 at 02:27 PM. |

Back in Black

I love it. It's a Raven Black '65 GT fastback with the original A-Code 289 in it. It gets compliments wherever it goes from all sorts of people and is a blast to drive. It needs a few things here and there, and it definitely needs some bigger wheels and tires for daily driving(It has the stock 14x5s with the pizza-cutter red line tires on it. Those will be kept for shows.), but that's what makes it so fun to have. It really brought me and the wife together on the car hobby thing. She was actually looking at an Evo or STi, along with a few other new cars when I found it on the internet and showed it to her. Next thing I know I'm on three-way calling from Kuwait with the dealer and my wife. Two days later she drove it home from Maryland with no problems. It is definitely staying in the family for good. Anyways, sorry to hijack a Camaro thread with tales of a Mustang. Please continue.

We have a 1969 SS Camaro... all original with the 396 big block... We are working on restoring it right now, which has been a kind of slow process. But I love it. Sometimes I start it just to listen to her purr...

First post, AWESOME site!
Try Rick's First Generation for parts. They have just about everything and they only deal in Gen 1 Camaro's. If you get the chance, stop into their shop just outside Atlanta. I went through them for just about everything on my '68. |
