Nice article on LS3 specs

Don't know if this has been posted, but it has some nice info on the LS3, I like learning all I can about my car

good reading, thanks for sharing. its good to know the did a lot of homework because I had a 97 SS with lt-1 and they didn't stay together real well. mine slung a rod shortly after I sold it and a buddy had the same car that did the same

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the next page arrows, there are quite a few pages. Then go to the home page and click on some of the links on the left. Good reads there too. Not sure why they keep referring to the HP as 422, I have only seen references elsewhere as 426 hp. Unless the earlier LS3s were rated at 422 ?

my 14 with stick says 426 where the auto was 420 however I read a post here from somebody who said his stock ls3 did over 400 to rear wheels

It was probably written in late 2008 or early 2009, when the initial non-SAE certified specs for the Camaro were released. Back then, the LS3 was cited as making 422 hp. Shortly before production began the final specs were released.
