I didn't know of this minimum age to be a 'vette owner? How old do you have to be? Cause I'd love to have one.

min age is 47. But if you get one when you are even younger, you have to drive it like an 80 year old with poor eyesight. That is apparently the requirement in the area I live in. In Indy, the slowest cars(drivers) on the road/highway are in vettes.

Lol all BS aside I was joking. It is because I don't see any 25 year old guys driving around in a 2016/17 vette. If I do, I assume it is either mommy/daddy's car or they stole it or they have all bills paid. |

When I first saw the preview of the 2010 Camaro, I immediately thought....I gotta get that car. It's styling has the 1st Gen OG look. There was no hesitation, no trying to convince myself, it was undeniable...I gotta get it. I didn't have that same reaction with the 6th gen although the styling has grown on me over time. Even if I could afford the 6th gen, I would stick with the 5th gen. It's just that good!

It's not that it looks bad per se, it just doesn't look like a Camaro anymore to me.

Even if I may tend to like the 5th gen a little more, one cannot deny that the 6th generation has improved on the manufacturing and performance of the Camaro. I happen to like its looks. I feel that one or two areas may need improving in terms of its style, but for the most part I feel that the 6th gen is a success. My only fear is that the car might stumble in sales; That is an area that Chevy and GM must work on.

I don't think the 6th gen is creating as big a stir as the 5th, which is hurting sales. 5th brought the Camaro back with lots of GenI styling cues. It got a lot of attention from a lot of people, particularly old school gear heads like me. I wanted a GenI since I was 16, but it just was not a practical option for a long time and then the GenV came out. Similar styling with better performance and way better reliability, what's not to love. If the 6th gen was the car released in 2009, I'm sure I would have gotten it and loved it. However, now it just the next generation of Camaro and moved away from the reason many people bought the 5th gen. They will sell, but I'm thinking they will not sell like the GenVs, especially with a higher price point and more Euro looks. It's like they are looking to attract the BMW/Mercedes crowd, but many of those folks won't even look at Camaros because it creates too much cognitive dissonance for them.

The 5th Gen is just a better looking car hands down. The 16 looks more like a Lexus than a Camaro with that big lower grille. I do like the A8 & The added HP but not enough to buy one.

This was just proven to me again today....I walked out to the garage ...pulled the cover back to fire it up. The bright orange with white stripes really jumps out at you. Damn you sexy thing was my first thought
